Lotus Eclat, Elite and Excel Servicing
The Lotus Eclat, Lotus Excel & late Lotus Elite were introduced in the 1970's as more user friendly, every day Lotus's to drive. Designed as four seater models, with more practical storage space but with sports car styling and performance. Sharing a lot of chassis, engine & suspension components with the Esprit, these models were intended to push Lotus as a luxury sports car brand. These were the first Lotus cars to ever be fitted with an automatic transmission, which signalled there change from their kit car image.
