1961 Lotus Seven S2

1961 Lotus Seven S2

Colour: Aluminium/Green

Mileage: 6372

The Lotus Seven is a small, simple, lightweight two-seater open-top sports car produced by Lotus Cars between 1957 and 1972.

It was designed by Lotus founder Colin Chapman, and has been considered the embodiment of the Lotus philosophy of performance through low weight and simplicity. The original model was highly successful with more than 2,500 cars sold, partly because of its attraction as a road legal car that could be used for Clubmans racing, but mainly because it was such fun.

This 1961 Lotus Seven Series 2 was restored in 2003 with a new chassis and fitting of the 1500cc Cosworth tuned dry sumped engine found in the Lotus Super Seven. It has just undergone a full suspension refresh and had a new Lotus geometry set up. It is a superb example of an early Lotus Seven and drives accordingly. The car has just been fully serviced and MOT'd.
