Built to be the ultimate track weapon, this Lotus Exige S1 has been heavily modified by Maidstone Sports Cars over the years to push the boundarys of the Honda K20 engine.

Starting life as a normal Lotus Exige S1, the car was converted to Honda by Sinclaires back in 2011. In 2015, Maidstone Sports Cars were approached to develop a turbocharger kit for the Honda conversion, and this was the prototype.

The engine was fully rebuilt with uprated pistons and rods, and then a bespoke exhaust system was built to house the Garrett GTX3071 turbocharger. A twin barrel charge cooler system was fabricated and mounted above the engine to help with intake temperatures. A large capacity fuel rail and fuel injectors were fitted to increase output.

The gearbox was fully stripped down and rebuilt with GearX 1st to 4th drag gear set, a Kaaz limited slip differential and a taller final drive. The gearbox was mated to the engine with a new clutch and TTV lightweight flywheel.

The suspension was fully rebuilt with Nitron NTR40 dampers and springs, Nitron Racing inner wishbone bush set and an EliseParts uprated anti-roll bar and toe link kit.

The front brakes were uprated to 4-pot Lotus calipers with 308mm aluminium belled discs and Pagid RS14 pads. The rear discs were upgraded to 304mm aluminium belled discs with Pagid RS14 pads. The car had stainless braided brake lines fitted at the same time.

The fuel tank was upgraded to a Pro Alloy 48L endurance tank with a Spitfire Engineering uprated fuel pump, rated to 1000BHP.
