MSC Lotus Cup UK Press Release

Maidstone Sports Cars are delighted to announce that they will be returning as a team to the Lotus Cup UK Championship with a newly built Honda Powered Lotus Exige S1 built to the new open class regulations.

Team principal, Andrew Marsh of Headcorn based Maidstone Sports Cars who were regulars in the Lotus Elise Trophy, stated their intentions to return to the championship for the 2012 season.

The purpose built Lotus Exige was finished on schedule and has had a successful pre-season testing.

MSC race technician Adrian Hall will be the team's race driver and will also be entrusted with the development of the car along with senior race technician Julian Brunger.

Andrew Marsh explains "we were disappointed to have to leave the Elise Trophy at the end of 2009 due to changes in the regulations, and following a frustrating two seasons in Britcar, the decision was made to build and run a Team MSC race car once again"

Race technician Julian Brunger explains "The whole team are thrilled at the prospect of being back in the Lotus paddock, it's where we want to be and I know that we can be very competitive and we're certainly not there to make up the numbers".

The opening round of Lotus Cup UK is at Silverstone on 14th & 15th April 2012. For more details on Lotus Cup UK, please visit
