140 cylinder head kit
The 140 or Sport 135 is available as a minimal kit utilising the
existing plastic Inlet manifold or for sports car application the
PTP Inlet manifold kit can be purchased for optimum power output.
This kit can be used with the 1.81 Engine and complies to the SVA
Emission regulations when used with the standard or recommended
sports catalist converter.
The core of the package is a complete finely tuned. cylinder head
ready for instillation, focusing not on metal removal for maximum
air flow but port chamber modifications to bestflow optimum efficiency
of the combustion process.
Standard camshafts and valve gear are maintained, as is the Rover
MEMS ECU. Jointly developed between PTP and Janspeed Motorspoft
to optimise performance and day-to-day practicality.

HTD (High. Torque derivitave)
The core of the package is a new, complete, highly tuned Motorsport
big valve cylinder head taking the 140 modifications a step further,
also incorporates unique camshaft profiles and is offered in two specifications.
Hydraulic (Road use and occasional track) or Mechanical (Race use)
Valve gear form for use with the I .8i engine. Manual or auto cambelt
tensionser can be used with recommendation of the manual tensioner
supplied within the 165 kit being used for high revving use. The kit
complies to SVA Emission regulations when used with the standard or
recommended sports catalist converter. The level of head modification
and camshaft selection has determined the need for a complete Fuel
and Ignition re map. to this end the Rover MEMS system is eliminated
and replaced by a unique EFI engine management system to retain
the day-to-day driveability of the car.
FTP and Janspeed Motorsport have jointly developed the tune to
ensure that the performance is optimised. The EFD is predominantly
designed for road application with a high flat profile curve for
thy-to-day driveability although the unit performs extremely well
at high engine speed on the race track.
The induction system can be carried. over from. the lotus 135 /
Motorsport 140 kit to enable the most cost effective upgrades from
the base power unit.

Motorsport 190 VHPD:

The 1.8i performance VHPD engine is now very well known. It is
used in both road and race applications in many of today's highly
desirable sports cars. Lotus Exige, 340R, Caterham superlight and
the Westfield FW400 to name four. A very close relationship was
used by Rover in their highly successful MGF cup single make series.
The engine is available in fully built from only with an option
of either hot test or full run and rate with performance curve supplied.
This seasons VHPD now incorporated the newly developed PTP Multi
throttle inlet manifold and ITG Air Filter lifting the performance
over 190bhp when used in conjunction with recommended intake and
exhaust systems to optimise performance. Mechanical valve gear,
Ultra lightweight flywheel, 8002 Crankshaft, forged pistons and
