Maidstone Sports Cars first foray into motor racing led to Class Honours and overall Championship winner in the prestigious BCV8 Championship, running a standard Class A MGB. MGF's are regular visitors to MSC's workshop and our race involvement in the MGF Challenge is an ideal way to promote the MGF aspect of the company.

Car History. MGF Cup.
Our MGF Cup car had undergone a total rebuild before competing in four races during the year 2000.The car had benefited from professional team backing and had been prepared to a superb condition with money no object. MGF rules are very tight and all cars are of the same specification with only 'set-ups' being different.

'Racing in 2000 was nothing short of spectacular'

The driver of MSC's MGF Cup car is Adrian Hall, our bodyshop manager, who has worked for the company for four years. Adrian cut his teeth in Ford modified saloons, having a modicum of success until lack of funds curtailed his progress in 1997.His return to racing in 2000 was nothing short of spectacular, starting off his debut season in MGB Class A with a series of eight straight wins out of fourteen starts. He was crowned Class A and Overall winner of the BCV8 Championship at Cadwell Park in October 2000.

Hopes for the Season. The MGF Challenge is far more serious racing, with professional teams and back up being much more competitive than 'Club' racing. The cars are so similar that it is imperative to remain competitive and stay on the pace. One error will take you from first to last very quickly. Consistency will be the key to a successful season. Maidstone Sports Cars is very proud of its impact on the world of Motorsport during the last two years. Securing the prestigious MGCC BC V8 Championship at the first attempt, preparing a Triumph TR5 and a TR3A for a successful Monte Carlo Rally, and running a MGF Cup car
Successfully in the MGF Challenge. Sensational.
